We are delighted to announce that our match on Monday 1st April against Salford City will be our dedicated military matchday in support of the armed forces.
Members from the Army, RAF, and Royal Navy, will be in attendance, and two Armed Forces personnel will lead the teams out of the tunnel before kick-off.
There is also plenty going on in the Supporters Zone (in the undercroft between the Tile Choice Main Stand and Poundland Stand) where you will be able to engage with soldiers, try on some body armour and helmets, VR headsets and flight simulators plus plenty of other fun activities for all the family to enjoy as well.
The Supporters Zone is open from Midday so head down early to enjoy these activities!
At last year’s military matchday, representatives from Walsall FC and Walsall FC Foundation signed the Armed Forces covenant, showing support to those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces.
Since then, the club has received the Bronze Award for their support and partnership and a presentation will take place on the pitch at half-time.
It’s set to be an exciting day at the Poundland Bescot Stadium so be sure to head down early and meet your local military reserves!
