Media Information

All requests for match-day accreditation at the Banks’s Stadium should be made via DataCo’s i-PBS system. Please submit all requests at least 48 hours in advance for Saturday fixtures and 24 hours in advance for midweek games.
If you cannot apply via i-PBS or miss the deadline, please email daniel.mole@walsallfc.co.uk from a company address with your DataCo licence number. This does not guarantee accreditation however.
All media requests must come from DataCo-accredited journalists.
The club will make the manager and one player available for interview post-match. The manager will first head to the broadcast room to be interviewed for iFollow and by local radio, before heading to the press conference room to speak to reporters.
No one-on-one interviews with players will be granted unless previously arranged. Please submit these requests to daniel.mole@walsallfc.co.uk at least three days in advance of the fixture.
Opposition press conferences are usually held pitchside in the dugout area, although this is at the discretion of that club’s press officer. Please contact the opposing club for more information.
You are required to sign in on matchdays as part of EFL regulations, this can be done at the Media Entrance, open from 12pm on Saturdays and 5.45pm for midweek games.

Upon arrival you will receive a complimentary matchday programme and useful information relating to the game at hand. If you wish to bring a bag upon your visit, please be aware that they will be checked before you can gain access to the press box area.

Tea and coffee will be available to the press in the media working room, as will sandwiches.

Official team line-ups will be available from our social media channels from 2pm. Official teamsheets will be available after this via the Media Room Entrance.

All journalists and broadcasters have been designated a specific seat in the press box and as such any phone or ISDN point you have booked will be in easy reach. We would respectfully ask that you take your seat in the press box 20 minutes before kick-off to avoid any unnecessary congestion, and the extra time will enable you to check your telephone connections. No filming is permitted from the press area, as outlined in DataCo’s regulations.

DO NOT LEAVE ANY EQUIPMENT IN PUBLIC WALKWAYS NEAR THE PRESS BOX. THIS IS A TRIP HAZARD.

Wireless Internet access is available from the press box area. Simply activate your wireless connectivity on your laptop and log in to our secure servers – either ‘Walsall FC Media’ or ‘Press Box’– free of charge. Password information can be found in the Media Room via the wall.

Only members of the opposition media will be permitted to access the tunnel pre and post-match. Under no circumstances will members of the press be allowed in the tunnel area on matchday, before, during or after the game. The same rules apply to the pitch area and the suites post-match.

At half-time a comprehensive round-up of the half-time scores can be heard on our Matchday PA System and you are welcome to return to the Media Room for refreshments.

At full time, post-match interviews will take place at various locations within the stadium. Away post-match interviews will take place via the away dugout near the players tunnel. Home post-match interviews will take place in the Broadcast room situated within the media vicinity.

If you have any requests for Walsall players after the match, these should be directed to either Dan Briggs or Tom Heslop.

Please note that the media facilities, including the Green Zone Car Park, will close 90 minutes after the final whistle.

Our media facilities are for working journalists, broadcasters, and photographers only. Anyone found not to be a bonafide member of the media will be asked to leave and all future applications from that organisation will be refused.

We hope you enjoy your visit and we look forward to welcoming you to Banks’s Stadium throughout the season.

All requests to interview the manager, players or club staff must be requested in advance. Under no circumstances should players be approached without permission from the club. Contact daniel.mole@walsallfc.co.uk

The club typically holds weekly press conferences each Thursday at the training ground. Invitations to each press conference are sent out to our press distribution list in advance with details including address, interviewees attending and any further required information.

To be added to the club’s media distribution list and receive the latest press releases, press conference calls and information, please email daniel.mole@walsallfc.co.uk with your request.
