14 August 2023

Preparations for the 2023/24 campaign has been going well for Walsall Women.

The squad is starting to take shape nicely and they've played a number of friendlies during the summer.

The girls were in action on Sunday 13th August and eased to a 3-0 victory over Leamington thanks to Saanya Najib's brace and a goal from Savannah Boughton, who joined up from the Under 18s.

A week earlier, Walsall Women recorded an emphatic 9-0 victory over Stafford Town. Mia Fellows netted four times while Chloe Astell bagged a brace. Najib, Maicie Goulding and Aaliyah Shearer also got on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere in pre-season, the girls cruised to a 6-1 win over Worcester Belles but tasted defeat against Kidderminster Harriers and Lichfield City, losing 4-2 and 3-2 respectively.
