Dean Keates is planning to rotate his squad for the Saddlers’ final match of the 2017/18 season against Fleetwood tomorrow.
The Saddlers secured League One safety with a battling 1-1 draw at Bradford on Tuesday night, meaning the pressure is off heading into the Highbury clash.
While Keates would like to finish the season on a high, the boss sees the match as an opportunity to assess some of his lesser-used players.
“There are players who haven’t had opportunities in the last few weeks,” said the 39-year-old, who has only had seven matches at the Banks’s helm.
“They’ve been on the bench and not been getting minutes.
“It’s an opportunity to get them some minutes so I can actually see them in a game situation.
“It’s OK seeing them Monday to Friday, but without seeing them in a competitive game, it’s hard to judge them.”
