THE SADDLERS' second-string played out a 2-2 draw at Morecambe."We found ourselves up against a lively and bright Morecambe side," said reserve team boss, Neil Woods. "We took the lead against the run of play when Alex Dallison found the net with a header.
"It wasn't long before we doubled our advantage when Josh Hawker played in Alex Reid with a neat through-ball and he applied the finish.
"We never had full control of the game and just a minute before the break our hosts pulled a deserved goal back.
"The opening quarter-an-hour of the second period saw us look more like the team we have done in recent matches, but Morecambe got back on top again and equalised with around 15 minutes to go.
"The home side had a goal disallowed in the 80th minute before Amadou Bakayoko came off the bench and was denied by a fine save from the Morecambe 'keeper.
"We know it was a sub-standard performance from us on the night."
