FEATHERSTONE TO TAKE NO PRISONERS

6 August 2012

New-boy up for the challenge...

NEW SIGNING, Nicky Featherstone is looking forward to taking to the League One stage after some impressive displays in the engine room of the Hereford United side in recent seasons.

"This is a good opportunity for me," said the former Hull City youngster. "I'm very impressed with the whole set-up at the club; it's an excellent environment to progress, working under two good coaches who do things the right way.

"There is a nice balance of youth and experience in the team, which is important, and we are able to go out there and express ourselves and play our own game.

"From a personal point of view, I am looking forward to testing myself at a higher level against better teams and players. It's going to be a good challenge.

"I'm not one to really set myself targets, I just want to get into the team and see what happens from there.

"In terms of my style of play, I'd like to think that I will bring energy and composure into the midfield."

Featherstone will figure against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm). Tickets for this game are now on sale at £12 (adults) and £6 (concessions) from the Banks's Stadium Ticket Office or by calling 01922-651 414/416.

Please note that Baggies supporters will be allocated the Sign Specialists Stand and Five Rivers Family Stand for this game.
