Youth team share the spoils...
THE SADDLERS' youth team shared the spoils in a goalless draw at Preston North End."The conditions contrasted to our last game as we played on a firm and lively surface," said Academy Manager, Neil Woods. "We played some good football during the first half and controlled the game for long periods.
"The only thing that was lacking was a finishing touch to the chances that we created.
"I was pleased with the quality during the first half as well as our attitude with and without the ball.
"Our hosts made life more difficult for us after the break and they edged the possession, but that said, we created the better opportunities but again, we failed to take advantage of them.
"In the end we had to settle for a point, but the standard of our play and the application of the boys was pleasing."
