CHAMBERS LOOKING FOR FINAL FLURRY

15 April 2014

Frustration for full-back...

JAMES Chambers has admitted his frustration following our 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Bristol City.

"I felt that we dominated the game," he said. "Our final pass could have been better, but other than the penalty, I couldn't see them scoring.

"It's frustrating; we haven't been giving away too many chances, but we have been beaten by a penalty in our last two games.

"We defend together as a team and attack together as a team. We know that had we been able to get a goal at the weekend, it would have given us the impetus and maybe we would have gone on to win the game.

"As it is, we were left to reflect on a defeat and now we must ensure that we pick ourselves up at Carlisle on Friday and get back into winning ways.

"We need to make sure that we finish in a position that our performances have warranted this season. We've been there or thereabouts throughout and will be looking to get the points from these final four games to ensure that we finish strongly.

"I'd say that our decision-making has cost us too many times. People talk about budgets, but for me that doesn't come into it because we have enough quality here to compete. It's about finding that level of consistency and being able to turn possession into goals."

SUPPORTERS ARE ASKED TO PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR GOOD FRIDAY TRIP TO CARLISLE UNITED WILL KICK-OFF AT 3.00PM AND NOT 1.00PM AS IS STATED ON THEIR MATCH TICKETS.
