Brian Dutton

Assistant Coach

The 34-year-old assumed the dual role of assistant coach and professional phase development coach in May 2019.

He will work alongside two former Bristol Rovers colleagues in manager Darrell Clarke, who brought him to Rovers and handed him the captaincy at Salisbury, and fellow assistant coach Marcus Stewart.

A utility player, Dutton led the Whites to two promotions in the three seasons he was skipper, making 167 league appearances across two spells with City.

He also played for Weymouth, Havant & Waterlooville and Eastbourne, among others, over a 13-year non-league playing career before moving into coaching with Bristol Rovers in 2017.

During his time with the Pirates, he worked as assistant Under-23 squad coach and played a role in first-team and set-piece coaching, as well as overseas recruitment.
