The Republic of Ireland U21 international is a product of the club's esteemed youth system.

Named Apprentice of the Season in 2013/14, the versatile Colchester-born midfielder made his first-team debut in a goalless draw with Bradford in August 2014.

He went on to make five league and cup appearances that campaign and featured on nine occasions the following season, scoring his first career goal in a 2-0 victory over Burton in October 2015.

The son of ex-Saddler Mark, Kinsella found himself on the periphery of the first-team in 2016/17, being restricted to just 12 senior appearances in all competitions.

He was, though, a regular and important member of the Saddlers' Development Squad, helping them win the Central League North West Division and the Walsall Senior Cup.

Kinsella enjoyed his best run in the team in 2017/18, playing 24 times after being converted into a right-back.
