Goalkeeper Owen Evans joined the Saddlers on a two-year contract in June 2022.
In his first season at the Poundland Bescot Stadium, he amassed 53 appearances and impressed with his consistent performance levels.
Evans began his professional career at Wigan Athletic. During his time at the DW Stadium he spent time on loan with Witton Albion, Rhyl, North Ferriby United and Sutton United.
His first loan in the EFL came in the 2019-20 season with Macclesfield Town where he played 27 times and impressed in the first half of the season.
He spent the second half of that season on loan at Cheltenham Town and helped the Robins reach the play-offs.
Evans returned to Wigan for the 2020-21 campaign and played five times before returning to Cheltenham on a permanent basis in the summer of 2021.
The 25-year-old featured 32 times in Sky Bet League One in the 2021-22 campaign as the Gloucestershire side finished 15th in their first season back in the third tier.
