Experienced centre-back who has made over 100 appearances for the club.

The Birmingham-born defender progressed through Aston Villa’s academy, helping them win the FA Youth Cup in 1997.

After being unable to break into Villa’s first-team, O’Connor joined Bournemouth in February 2005 – via a loan spell at Port Vale.

O’Connor then spent six years at Doncaster, winning the Football League Trophy in 2007 and the League One play-offs the following year.

The reliable centre-half was named Rovers’ Player of the Year in 2009/10 and enjoyed spells at Derby and Bristol City before arriving at Walsall in July 2014.

O'Connor has been a virtual ever-present during his three seasons with the club, racking up 35 appearances in 2014/15, 47 in 2015/16 and 40 last term.
