Walsall FC Fan Engagement Plan: Results Unveiled, Next Steps Revealed

Walsall Football Club recently outlined its commitment to improving communication and engagement with supporters by publishing plans to produce a fan engagement plan.

The first part of this process was a fan engagement survey, which all supporters were invited to participate in. In total, the club received 410 responses, with the aims of the survey to capture feedback on the existing level of fan engagement and help identify ways which we can improve.

The first part of the survey allowed us to create a benchmark score for our existing levels of communication and what methods of communication supporters engage with:

The second part of the survey allowed us to understand supporters’ engagement with our Supporter Liaison Officer:

The third part of the survey allowed us to understand if the club can improve on how it collects feedback from supporters, how the club could best obtain feedback from supporters, and a general understanding of the off the pitch areas which matter the most:

As part of the survey, supporters were also asked for their individual opinions on fan engagement – all of which have been reviewed.

The next part of the fan engagement process is a fan engagement forum, where the results of the survey and ideas for a new fan engagement plan will be discussed in further detail.

The forum will take place in The Stadium Suite and will be a free to attend, ticketed event. With limited places available, a random selection of supporters who responded to the survey will be initially sent an email with details on how they can claim their ticket.

Following the forum, the club will work on producing a fan engagement plan which will be published in April 2024 and will then officially launch ahead of the 2024/25 season.
