Supporters Guide: Walsall v Sutton United

26 January 2024

Walsall are back at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on Saturday to take on Sutton United (3pm kick-off).

Here is a useful guide for supporters attending the match.

This Saturday’s match against Sutton United will be our dedicated Green Football Fixture.

As this is our nearest home game before Green Football Weekend, due to take place from 2nd-5th February, we will be celebrating football’s biggest climate campaign at the Poundland Bescot Stadium tomorrow.

We are aiming to inspire fans to try a healthy veggie option as we launch our bid to win Green Football Cup.

Saddlers striker Jamille Matt has shared his recipe for Caribbean rice & peas in the free Green Football Weekend Veggie Cookbook for fans to try - and then register as a goal for Walsall Football Club!

We are also pleased to confirm that only re-usable plastics will be used in the Stadium Suite and the Mick Kearns Community Hub at tomorrow’s game.

We will also have an additional Green Menu in the kiosks which includes Vegan Hotdogs, Vegan Chicken & Mushroom Pies, Vegan Steak Pies and Cheese and Onion Pies.

The Ticket Office will be open from 11am on Saturday.

Tickets for the game are still available to purchase. Buy online here.

Remember, supporters have until midnight on the day prior to the match to take advantage of advance prices. There is a £2 price increase when buying on the day of the game.

We would like to remind supporters that Under 12s can watch all home league games for FREE by joining Swifty's Squad and attending each match with a full-paying adult or senior citizen.

Want to beat the queues?

Scan the QR Code on one of the posters dotted around the stadium (see below) and you will be directed to our e-ticketing site.

We expect the Ticket Office to be very busy so please allow yourself plenty of time.

Supporters are reminded to please sit in the seat you are allocated.

The Club Shop at the Poundland Bescot Stadium will also be open from 11am right until kick-off.

Our sale on Errea items continues so head down to the store to take advantage of the discounted prices!

We expect the shop to be busy so please allow yourself enough time to browse through our recently revamped store!

The Locker will be officially opening its doors at Saturday’s match.

The facility will officially be opened by Co-Chairman Leigh Pomlett and Head Coach Mat Sadler at Midday and supporters are welcome to join us for the cutting of the ribbon.

In addition to the bar, there will also be a food trailer and a pop-up shop in the Locker.

The venue will close at 8pm following the match with last orders at 7pm.

All Season Ticket holders and Members will be able to gain entry into the Locker for FREE by showing their physical or digital Season Ticket/Membership Card.

Non-members will be able to access the venue by paying an entry fee of £5 for Adults, £2.50 Juniors.

The Supporters Zone in the undercroft between the Tile Choice Stand and Poundland Stand will be open from Midday.

In this area supporters will find:

- Hot Food

- Bar

- Music

- Inflatable Goal

- Inflatable Basketball

The Junior Fan Zone in the Experienced Energy Solutions Community Stand will be open from 1pm on Saturday.

There is a ball pit and Play Stations in this area so be sure to pop in before the game.

We have a text service for supporters who can anonymously report any incidents they see inside or outside the stadium.

Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

If you see or hear any forms of discriminative behaviour during your visit, please text 07585 858 030 as soon as possible with details of the incident and location in the stadium so that it can be dealt with.

Please note that incidents that are reported after the game will be picked up during the normal office hours.

The Stadium Suite will be open from Midday to all home supporters.

It will also be open during the half time interval but will close at the end of the half-time break and will not be open after the game.

This will be the case for the entirety of the 2023/24 season.

We expect the suite to be busy before the match. It is licensed to a certain capacity and should we reach that capacity, we will be unable to accommodate further supporters so please be aware entry to the Stadium Suite is on a first come first serve basis.

Please note, the blinds in the suite will close 15 minutes before kick-off. This is a legislation that all Premier League and EFL clubs adhere to.

The Mick Kearns Community Hub, situated in the lower tier of the Poundland Stand, will be open from Midday before the game. It will also be open at half time and after the final whistle to home supporters.

Sutton United supporters will have access to the away bar in the concourse of the away end.

Sutton fans will also be welcome in the Locker. Entry for visiting supporters is £5 for Adults and £2.50 for Juniors.

Please note, there aren’t any pubs within walking distance of the stadium.
