Sadler wary of in-form Harrogate Town ahead of trip to EnviroVent Stadium

Walsall head coach Mat Sadler is looking forward to Saturday’s trip to Harrogate Town, who sit just three points ahead of the Saddlers going into the game.

Sadler knows that it will not be an easy task though, as their rivals have been in good form recently, so his Saddlers side will need to be at their best if they are going to come away with the points.

“They are a very good team. We have been on a good run ourselves; they have been on a really good run also which has seen them shoot up the table,” Sadler said.

“They have got a really good manager, really good staff so it will be a difficult game. It’s one we are really looking forward to.

“I think there are over 500 of our fans going already which is testament to our football club again. They will come out in their numbers, come to supports us and it’s one we are really looking forward to.”

With Saddlers fans travelling in impressive numbers for Saturday’s game, Sadler knows the supporters will play an influential part in the rest of the season and any success will partly be down to them.

“It’s not just because we have been on a decent run, they are with us all the time up and down the country, game in game out they are with us,” he explained.

“We want to pay them back with some good moments, from now until the end of the season and then moving forwards.

“When this football club is all together, all united, there are not many like it in the country and that is what we are building towards but building together.

Sadler is also pleased to announce that Brandon Comley has sighed a new contract at the club until 2026 this week, which is a big boost for the club moving forwards.

“Brandon was someone for weeks that we wanted to make sure we secured. He is a player I think who possibly goes under the radar at times with the hard work he does for the team,” Sadler discussed.

“Probably one of the biggest compliments I can pay him is that he reminds me a lot of Adam Chambers with some of the unnoticed stuff he did, the vital role he played for teams.

“That is what Brandon is for me. He was an important one for me to get sorted because we have some fantastic young players who are growing together, and we have some good seniors and Brandon certainly fits that role.”
