Sadler discusses Accrington Stanley clash

26 February 2024

Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler insists everyone in his squad will need to be ready to produce as his team prepare to face Accrington Stanley at the Poundland Bescot Stadium this evening.

Tonight’s match will be the seventh game of what’s been a hectic February that has so far yielded three wins, two draws and one defeat.

Sadler is looking forward to tonight’s encounter but is expecting a tricky test against John Coleman’s charges who currently sit in 14th but just two points behind Walsall.

“They’re a good team,” Sadler said.

“John is an extremely experienced manager who gets every inch out of his players, as we saw in the game we played against them up there.

“We’ll have to use our squad. It’s been a tough week, there’s been a lot of football played and we have to make sure that everyone is ready, recovered and firing to go again.

“We’re fighting every game, there is still a large section of the season left and we’re fighting, we’re giving it everything that we’ve got. The group are unbelievable.

“We’ll approach that in the manner it definitely deserves because they’re a top team but we look forward to the next one.”

Tickets are still available for tonight’s game.
