Supporters Guide: Walsall v Gillingham

13 October 2023

Walsall are back at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on Saturday to take on Gillingham (3pm).

Here is a useful guide for supporters attending the match.

There will be lots going on at the Poundland Bescot Stadium tomorrow!

To celebrate National Lorry Week, we are delighted to be welcoming the Road Haulage Association to tomorrow’s game against Gillingham.

Working alongside our partners Poundland, Hayward Transport and SPV Group, the Road Haulage Association will have a range of activities for supporters outside the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

There will be a number of trucks outside the stadium, opposite the Supporters Zone, where supporters will be invited to take a look.

National Lorry Week is aimed to help raise awareness and promote road safety.

We are also delighted to welcome Walsall Society for the Blind to tomorrow’s match for their charity takeover game.

There will be bucket collections around the Poundland Bescot Stadium, a stall opposite the Supporters Zone.

Elsewhere, with our inflatable goal a regular feature in the Supporters Zone, the charity will be handing out blind folds so supporters can take a shot whilst blindfolded.

There will also be further activities during the half-time interval as well.

At Walsall Football Club, we believe that Football is a game for everyone and we are proud of the welcoming atmosphere that you create at the Poundland Bescot Stadium every matchday.

However, every season, there are hundreds of reports of discrimination across the game, and likely more that go unrecorded.

As part of the EFL’s Together Against Racism campaign we are calling on you, our supporters, to make a difference and report any incidents of racism or discrimination you see or hear in the ground today and at all matches in the future.

Reporting discrimination helps remove unwanted behaviour from football stadiums, allows us to identify abusers and ensure victims get the support they need, creating a safer environment for everyone to attend football matches.

Walsall Football Club and all of football stands Together against Racism and all forms of discrimination.

Enjoy the game.

The Ticket Office will be open from 11am right up until kick-off!

Tickets are still available to purchase for the game. Buy online here.

Remember, supporters have until midnight tonight to take advantage of advance prices. There is a £2 price increase when buying on the day of the game.

We would like to remind supporters that Under 12s can watch all home league games for free by joining Swifty's Squad and attending each match with a full-paying adult or senior citizen.

Want to beat the queues?

Scan the QR Code on one of the posters dotted around the stadium (see below) and you will be taken directly to our e-ticketing site.

We expect the Ticket Office to be very busy so please allow yourself plenty of time.

Supporters are reminded to please sit in the seat you are allocated.

The Club Shop at the Poundland Bescot Stadium will also be open until kick-off on Saturday.

We expect the shop to be busy so please allow yourself enough time to browse through our recently revamped store!

Swifty’s post box will also be in the Club Shop for young supporters to write letters to Swifty or the players!

The Supporters Zone in the undercroft between the Tile Choice Stand and Poundland Stand will be open from Midday tomorrow.

In this area supporters will find:

- Hot Food

- Bar

- Music

- Face Painting

- Inflatable Goal

The Junior Fan Zone in the Experienced Energy Solutions Community Stand will be open from 1pm on Saturday.

There is a ball pit and Play Stations in this area so be sure to pop in before the game.

We have a text service for supporters who can anonymously report any incidents they see inside or outside the stadium.

Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

If you see or hear any forms of discriminative behaviour during your visit, please text 07585 858 030 as soon as possible with details of the incident and location in the stadium so that it can be dealt with.

Please note that incidents that are reported after the game will be picked up during the normal office hours.

The Stadium Suite will be open from Midday to all home supporters.

It will also be open during the half time interval but will close at the end of the half-time break and will not be open after the game.

This will be the case for the entirety of the 2023/24 season.

We expect the suite to be busy before the match. It is licensed to a certain capacity and should we reach that capacity, we will be unable to accommodate further supporters so please be aware entry to the Stadium Suite is on a first come first serve basis.

Please note, the blinds in the suite will close 15 minutes before kick-off. This is a legislation that all Premier League and EFL clubs adhere to.

The Mick Kearns Community Hub, situated in the lower tier of the Poundland Stand, will be open from Midday before the game. It will also be open at half time and after the final whistle to home supporters.

Gillingham supporters will have access to the away bar in the concourse of the away end.

Please note, there aren’t any pubs within walking distance of the stadium.

Saturday’s game will be shown live on iFollow in the UK and overseas.

Match passes are available for £10. Audio commentary can also be purchased for just £2.50.
