We are delighted to confirm that Walsall Women will play against Port Vale Women at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on Saturday 22nd April following the men’s first team game against Salford City.
Walsall Women, who play in the West Midlands Regional Women's Football League Division One North, will play at the Poundland Bescot Stadium for the very first time as they look to climb up the table and finish the season strongly.
Kick-off will be at 6pm and admission is free.
Supporters will be housed in the Tile Choice Main Stand for this match.
Any supporter who is at the men’s fixture and would like to stay for the women’s match will be escorted to the Tile Choice Main Stand.
Walsall Women Manager Steve Guest is excited to be playing at the stadium and is looking forward to what is set to be a great occasion.
“This is a fantastic moment for Walsall FC Women to be playing at the Poundland Bescot Stadium,” he said.
“It shows the support for the women’s game here is getting better.
“It’s been amazing to see the support from everyone here at Walsall FC, the players, people who come and support us home and away and all the staff behind the scenes.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone. The future looks exciting and we hope that all the Saddlers fans can join us along the way.”
We hope to see as many supporters come along and support the girls on what is set to be a historic day!
