Friends,
I am so grateful to be a part of this Club, and for the warm welcome that you have provided over the past eight months.
Thank you for your unwavering support of the Team both at home and on the road - you have been outstanding and have no doubt propelled them to some great results.
We do not take it for granted, and as such I wanted to share some thoughts as we unveil our Early Bird Season Ticket campaign for 23/24.
Unlike some of the positive news that I have been able to share in the past, I realise that price increases do not come as a welcome update, so I want to address it directly with you.
The reality is that we are dedicated to a few key things that factor into this. First, to run a sustainable football club that will be here long-term for generations to enjoy. Second, to provide you with a high quality experience when you come to the Poundland Bescot Stadium both in terms of what you see on the pitch and what you experience off of it. And finally, and most importantly, to provide you with good value for your investment in the club.
The simple truth is that the costs of running the Football Club have increased significantly since our return to play from Covid. We realise that you are feeling the pressure of inflation in your personal lives, and your football club is feeling it as well, quite sharply.
These Season Ticket price increases are a reflection of the reality of increased costs, and nothing more. And frankly, these price increases do not come close to covering that increased cost, as we strive to continue to offer you good value for your hard-earned money.
That said, we take your investment in this Football Club very seriously and are committed to continuing to take the Club onward and upward, on and off the pitch. We have made improvements in both areas this season and will continue to do so this year and next as we take this Club and this Town forward.
Please join me in continuing to support Michael and the team this season, and please join us in what we know is going to be a great campaign next year - as something special is happening in Walsall.
