Supporters Guide: Alfreton Town

12 December 2023

Walsall are back at the Poundland Bescot Stadium this evening as we face Alfreton Town in a second round replay in the Emirates FA Cup, kick off 7.45pm.

Here is a useful guide for supporters attending the match.

The Ticket Office will be open right up until kick-off for supporters looking to purchase tickets this evening. Alternatively, you can visit our eticketing site to purchase online ahead of the game.

Please note that only the Tile Choice Main Stand and the lower tier in the Poundland Stand are open for supporters this evening.

Want to beat the queues?

Scan the QR Code on one of the posters dotted around the stadium (see below) and you will be taken directly to our e-ticketing site.

We expect the Ticket Office to be busy this evening so please allow yourself plenty of time.

Supporters are also reminded to please sit in the seat you are allocated as displayed on your matchday ticket.

The Club Shop at the Poundland Bescot Stadium will also be open right up until kick-off this evening.

We expect the shop to be busy so please allow yourself enough time to browse through our recently revamped store – be sure to grab yourselves a bargain and the perfect Christmas present for a Saddler in your life!

Swifty’s post box will also be in the Club Shop for young supporters to write letters to Swifty or the players!

If you are travelling by train this evening, please note that fewer match day trains will be operating to Bescot Stadium train station so please allow yourselves extra time and expect services to be busier on scheduled services. For the latest timetable information, visit National Rail by clicking here. You can also plan your journey using the Transport for West Midlands Journey Planner

We would also like to inform supporters that we expect roads to be busy at M6J9 after the final whistle due to lane closures and road diversions from M6J10 improvements.

As the Experienced Energy Solutions Stand is closed for this evening’s game, the Junior Fan Zone will not be open for supporters- we apologise for the inconvenience.

We have a text service for supporters who can anonymously report any incidents they see inside or outside the stadium.

Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

If you see or hear any forms of discriminative behaviour during your visit, please text 07585 858 030 as soon as possible with details of the incident and location in the stadium so that it can be dealt with.

Please note that incidents that are reported after the game will be picked up during the normal office hours.

As the middle and upper tiers of the Poundland Stand are closed, the Stadium Suite will not be open this evening and we apologise for the inconvenience.

Supporters looking to grab a drink are advised to do so via the Mick Kearns Community Hub.

The Mick Kearns Community Hub, situated in the lower tier of the Poundland Stand, will be open from 6pm this evening. It will also be open at half time and after the final whistle to home supporters.

Alfreton Town supporters will have access to the away bar in the concourse of the away end this evening.

Please note, there aren’t any pubs within walking distance of the stadium and it is card payments only in the away bar area.

The latest edition of Saddlers Shout will be available to purchase around the ground, at the Ticket Office and at the Club Shop this evening!

Programmes are priced at £2 and card payments are preferred.
