Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler insists every member of his squad will need to be in fine fettle over the busy Christmas period.
The Saddlers will kick-off the festive football programme with a trip to Accrington Stanley, the first of four matches between now and New Year’s Day.
While the Head Coach stressed the team will not look too far ahead, he is looking excited by the fixtures that await and he is keen to continue building after a positive week leading up to the hectic schedule.
“We look forward to the next game, as we always do and you’re always looking to grab hold of that momentum,” Sadler said.
“We’ve come off the back of a really good week and now we have to look forward to the next games. There is a batch of four close together, everyone is going to be needed in the squad and we are all going to have to be right on it and ready for the different challenges because there are lots of games and lots of enjoyable games to look forward to.
“We want to give a good account of ourselves in each game. We want to win the next one and the one after that and we want to keep building forwards and go in to each individual game looking at the best ways to approach win the game, that’s what we’ll continue to do.”
Saturday’s opponents Accrington are currently ninth in League Two as they aim for an immediate return to League One following relegation last term.
Sadler is set to lock horns with the experienced John Coleman and he is expecting to meet a well drilled team.
“They’re a very hard working team. John knows exactly how to put teams out there to win games in the division, to set teams up to get promoted out of the division.
"He’s a fantastic manager and he’s proved that over a long period of time so another good team, another different challenge, we look back on the ones we’ve had in the last few weeks and they’re all different in their own way but we look forward to the challenge ahead.”
