New name revealed for Supporters Club that will re-open on Boxing Day

15 December 2023

We are delighted to reveal that our brand-new Supporters Club, formerly known as the Saddlers Club, will re-open with two pre-match test events at our final two matches of 2023.

We are also pleased to reveal that the new venue has been renamed and will be known as The Locker!

The first test event will be at our Boxing Day match against Crewe Alexandra and will see 100 tickets made available to Season Ticket holders and Members.

Our second test event will be on Friday 29th December at our fixture against Wrexham where 200 tickets will be made available to Season Ticket holders and Members.

All tickets for both test events will be available free of charge to Season Ticket holders and Members through the Ticket Office but will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

The Locker will then fully re-open to all Season Ticket holders and Members for the first home match of 2024.

Supporters who aren’t Season Ticket holders or Members will also be able to access the facility from the first home match of 2024 but will be charged a small entry fee.

Season Ticket holders and Members will be able to claim a ticket for both test events in-person at the Ticket Office from 11am at tomorrow's game against Tranmere Rovers. Please note, they will not be available over the phone or online.

Walsall Co-Chairman Ben Boycott is excited to see the facility re-open.

“I’m very thankful to the supporters for their patience over the past five years since the initial closure of the Saddlers Club, and extremely pleased to be able to announce the relaunch of the newly renovated Locker venue,” he said.

“It is my hope that this will be an excellent venue for our supporters to gather and enjoy on a match day. Our team will also be planning a schedule of evening events on non-match days, in the effort of continuing to build community in the town around this great football club.”

Head of Supporters Club Simon Murphy added: “A lot of hard work has gone in over the past few months to get the venue open and I’m delighted we are now able to welcome supporters in.

“We hope it will be a venue you all enjoy using and we look forward to seeing you all.”

More information will be available on the Locker’s official website here in due course.
