Everything you need to know ahead of tomorrow's trip to Crawley Town

28 April 2023

The Saddlers head to Crawley Town tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 29th April) at 3pm in Sky Bet League Two.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of tomorrow’s trip.

Tickets have now gone off sale at the Poundland Bescot Stadium but supporters will be able to purchase from Crawley on the day from their Ticket Office and Ticket Cabin.

If tickets have been ordered to be picked up at Crawley, collections are at the portacabin up at the top of the car park.

Saddlers fans will be welcome in the Redz Bar (situated by Crawley’s South Stand) before the match.

This is open to home and away supporters and offers a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and light refreshments.

Tomorrow’s game will not be shown live on iFollow in the UK.

Audio match passes are available for just £2.50.

Hayden White will be available for selection after he served a three-match ban following his red card against Carlisle United.

The Saddlers and the Red Devils last met back in November. Dom Telford opened the scoring after 11 minutes but Hayden White equalised with his second goal in as many home matches just three minutes later.

Ludwig Francilette received a second yellow card six minutes before the break. Walsall applied pressure on Crawley during the second half and finally won it in the 92nd minute thanks to Danny Johnson.

In the last meeting at the Broadfield Stadium last season, Saddlers midfielder Isaac Hutchinson scored the only goal of the game as Crawley won 1-0.

Tomorrow’s match will be the 15th meeting between the two clubs.

Walsall have recorded five wins, while Crawley have won four of the meetings.

The Saddlers’ last win at the Broadfield Stadium came back in September 2019 when James Clarke scored a firecracker while Wes McDonald and Elijah Adebayo also netted in a 3-2 Saddlers triumph.

Here’s what interim Head Coach Mat Sadler had to say ahead of the game:
