LAST TIME OUT

The two sides last met back in February and played out a 0-0 draw at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

Walsall last visited the Mornflake Stadium back in August 2019 but fell to a 1-0 defeat. Eddie Nolan scored the only goal of the game in the second half. Crewe defender Olly Lancashire was sent off in the 89th minute but there was little time for the Saddlers to force an equaliser.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Saddlers and Crewe have met 75 times in total.

Walsall have won 31 times while Crewe have won 24.

The Railwaymen have the upper hand and are unbeaten in their last eight meetings with the Saddlers.

Walsall’s last win against Crewe came in September 2013 as a Craig Westcarr brace and James Baxendale strike secured a 3-0 win at the Mornflake Stadium.
