Responsibilities:
· Carry out assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries sustained by the first team players. · To collaborate with all First Team Medical and Performance staff in relation to all aspects of injury prevention, player performance and rehabilitation of first team players. · Use a variety of effective manual therapy techniques on the first team players to help reduce injury risk and enhance rehabilitation from injury. · Undertake screening of the playing squad during the season to help identify individual priority areas for injury prevention therapy and exercise · Produce detailed rehabilitation programmes for first team player injuries, including specific individual objective markers for return to training. · Be involved in the entire process of injury management in the football context, transitioning players from gym-based to pitch-based rehabilitation · Design and deliver individual and group injury prevention exercise sessions for the first team squad. · Work as part of the match day medical team, to prepare the players for games and provide immediate emergency first aid care if required (ATMMiF required). · Keep accurate records of all injuries, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation sessions and record them on the medical database.

Considerations:
· Availability to work irregular/unsociable hours as requested, evening and weekend hours to be expected. · Overnight stays for some away fixtures. · Potential change of working schedule within 24hrs. |
Essential/Desirable Qualifications:
Essential: · BSc Physiotherapy/ Sports therapy. · Up to date HCPC or SST membership. · Minimum 2 years’ working experience. · Up to date FA’s International Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF). · Eligibility to work in the UK. · UK Driving Licence.
Desirable: · MSc (Hons) in related field. · Up to date FA’s Advance Trauma Medical Management in Football ATMMiF. · Previous experience working within a professional sports environment.
Personal Specifications: · Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and individually when required. · Excellent communication skills in order to build positive relationships with player staff and other internal/external personnel. · Sound knowledge of manual therapy skills and sports rehabilitation. · Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines. · Must be flexible and be willing to work hours as necessary to carry out their duties. · Committed to ongoing CPD.
