Walsall Football Club to make donation to local foodbanks

30 November 2022

Walsall Football Club are proud to announce that we will be making a number of donations of food to support foodbanks in the local area week commencing 12th December.

Supporters are encouraged to also get involved and will be able to donate any toiletries (including children’s toothbrushes) and dry goods they may have spare such as tinned food, pasta, rice, tinned desserts and long-life milk etc.

Supporters can drop items off at the Poundland Bescot Stadium from Thursday 1st December up until midday on Wednesday 14th December by heading to main reception.

We will then distribute the food across foodbanks in the borough in the following weeks as we aim to support as many people as we can.

Co-Chairman Leigh Pomlett is proud to be able to give back to the community again and hopes the initiative will help as many people as possible given the current climate.

“We all know that times are tough for so many people in our community,” he said.

“We at Walsall FC want to do something about it and have decided to invite everyone to donate items between Thursday 1st-Friday 9th December.

“I am very keen that Walsall FC as a community club responds to the challenges so many people face, particularly as we approach Christmas.

“If you can, please donate and I can promise Walsall FC will be doing so also.”
