Saddlers midfielder Joss Labadie believes this weekend’s game against Sutton United will prove to be a good battle for the group.
The team have had a full week on the training pitch for the first time since Michael Flynn became Head Coach and the skipper is hoping that the ideas that have been put across to them this week will pay dividends on Saturday.
“It has been good to have a little bit of a break,” said Labadie.
“This week hasn’t been as congested as it has been in previous weeks. We have been working hard on the training pitch and we are now looking forward to the game.
“The games have been coming thick and fast and the break has been good because the Head Coach has been able to implement some of his ideas to us as a group and hopefully we can put that into the game on Saturday.
“Sutton are a good team. They have come into the league and they are very efficient, everyone knows their jobs but we know what the game is going to be like having played them at their place earlier in the season and I am sure it is going to be a good battle.
“Backing up our previous good performances on Saturday is what it is all about in this league.
“I think you will find that the consistent teams in the league tend to be the ones that do well.
“We haven’t really put back to back wins together or gone on a run as such like that this season until recently so hopefully we can do that and get another three points on the board.
“Like always we will be trying to put on a show for the fans and give them something to shout about and hopefully we can make it an entertaining one for them.”
