Hosted by Walsall Golf Club and supported by the charity Prostate Cancer UK, the club hosted its annual golf day for club partners, sponsors and supporters last week.
The four-ball teams played the beautifully maintained course with a shotgun start and under stableford rules, making the most of the final days of the summer for what was a very enjoyable day for all.
The winning team came from Taundry Doors Ltd with players Mark Holmes, Mike Baker, John Kempson and Ryan Woolridge scoring better than anyone else over the 18 holes.
Receiving their prize of a selection of beers each, provided courtesy of the club’s senior partner Banks’s (part of the Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company), from first team squad player Sam Perry who along with Carl Rushworth, Jack Earing and Liam Kinsella came for the post-round prize giving and BBQ.
Just falling short in second place were a team from Britvic consisting of Tim Brown, Alex Manners, Richard Manners and Steve Manners who collected their box of Prostate Cancer UK branded Titleist golf balls each. Presented to the team by Jack Earing.
In addition, there were a couple of individual competitions ongoing with the longest drive being won by Richard Manners, seen here receiving his 2 x 1888 matchday tickets from Liam Kinsella and nearest the pin being won by Tim Brown, who was presented his match worn Manny Monthe third shirt by Carl Rushworth.
Thank you to all competitors on the day.
