Osadebe pens new Saddlers deal

12 April 2021

Walsall Football Club are delighted to announce that midfielder Emmanuel Osadebe has signed a new contract until 2022 with an option of a further year.

The 24-year-old joined the club in the summer of 2020 after he left Macclesfield Town and has made 35 appearances for the Saddlers this season.

He scored his first goal for the club last month with a penalty in a 1-1 draw against Crawley Town.

Osadebe is pleased to have put pen to paper on fresh terms and is excited for the future.

“I am very delighted to be staying with the club,” he said.

“Once I spoke to the gaffer and the other people who needed to be spoken to, I knew it was the right decision to make to stay here and continue this journey to get this club back to where it needs to be.

“I have been working hard every day and doing what I need to do. Since the gaffer has taken over, I have played a lot more games and that is working in my favour. That is what made me sign this contract.”

Saddlers Head Coach Brian Dutton is also happy to have secured Osadebe’s services.

“I’m delighted Emmanuel has agreed a new deal,” Dutton said.

“He is a rough diamond and someone who can have a stellar career if he focuses, knuckles down, learns and develops. He’s only 24 years of age and hopefully we can polish him up into the player we all think he can be.”
