Walsall Football Club are pleased to welcome the Independent Saddlers Supporters Association (ISSA) as an official licensing partner as of May 1st 2021 and for the 2021-22 season.
The agreement allows ISSA to produce merchandise using historic club logos with the club’s approval and formalises the contribution made by the association to the club for the items they sell via their online shop.
From the May 1st, the club will receive 50% of all profits made from the ISSA online shop on items that refer to the club. As a gesture of goodwill and spirit of the partnership, ISSA have also agreed to back date their royalty fee payments to when the partnership was agreed.
Walsall FC Head of Commercial and Retail, Alex Smith said: “I am delighted to be formalising this relationship with the team at ISSA, an organisation that supports not just the club but the local community. This agreement offers an alternative line of products, focusing on the clubs heritage, for supporters to engage with in the knowledge that every purchase is directly supporting the club.”
ISSA is a non-profit organisation and the remaining 50% of the product profits will continue to be utilised to support the local community, local grassroots football and helping people in the local community.
Mark Cassell, ISSA Secretary added: “ISSA’S online shop has been a real success so far, with supporters responding positively to the items we have sold.
"We are absolutely delighted with this agreement with the club and will continue to offer top quality merchandise at the lowest possible price for our supporters. We believe this licensing agreement will allow us to achieve even more of our goals in the future.”
