Saddlers snap up Emmanuel Osadebe

3 September 2020

Walsall Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Emmanuel Osadebe following his departure from Macclesfield Town earlier this year.

The versatile attacking midfielder scored four goals in 29 appearances for the Silkmen during the 2019-20 season before leaving Moss Rose at the end of January.

Osadebe, made his professional debut at Gillingham back in August 2015. He netted three times for the Gills before moving to Cambridge United in 2017.

A short loan spell at Newport County followed before he left Cambridge at the end of the 2018-19 season.

The Irishman is now looking forward to joining with his teammates and can’t wait to get going in a Saddlers shirt.

“I’m delighted to join the club and I’m excited by the challenge,” he said.

“It’s a great club and a stable club that is pushing forward.

“I want to play as many games as I can and show what I can do.

“I’ve played in this stadium a couple of times and I feel like we have a good group here, everyone is ready to kick on and I can’t wait to get going.”

Saddlers boss Darrell Clarke has also welcomed the addition of Osadebe.

“We’re really pleased to add Emmanuel to the squad,” he commented.

“He has the ability to play in a variety of roles in the attacking third and he will give us extra impetus going forward.”

Osadebe will wear the number 23 shirt.
