We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded with Family Excellence status.
The accolade recognises continuous improvement and best practice in family engagement across the leagues and supports Clubs’ efforts to attract and retain young fans of the future.
Each EFL Club received two ‘mystery family’ visits throughout the season, with their feedback and reports determining whether each respective club would achieve ‘Family Excellence’ status.
The Club received feedback and an overall score on where we could improve from our first visit during the early part of the season and after taking on board the feedback, we were pleased to be able improve our overall score to achieve Family Excellence status.
Now in its 13th year, the Family Excellence Scheme is an ongoing consultation programme, which aims to drive continuous improvement and best practice in family engagement across the leagues.
Walsall COO Dan Mole was delighted the club have been awarded with the award.
“We are honoured to be awarded with Family Excellence status,” he said.
“A lot of hard work has gone into the improving the matchday experience for all our supporters and we look forward to putting that to practice when we are allowed to welcome fans back to the Banks’s Stadium.
“I’d like to thank everybody who played their part in helping us achieve this accolade.”
