A message from Supporter Liaison Officer Graham Whittaker

18 November 2020

As Supporter Liaison Officer I have had the privilege to be in contact with senior executives of the club and I can assure you that they are working tirelessly in these unprecedented times.

I have also met representatives of our various Supporters’ groups and many other supporters who are not affiliated to any particular group.

There may have been issues between the groups in the past but I cannot change the past. I can however ask for all of the groups to have a common cause and that is to help create a successful, sustainable football club for us to support.

There are many comments made on social media, some of which are very damaging to the club we all support and quite frankly they are ill informed comments.

Should any of our supporters have issues, as Supporter Liaison Officer, I am happy to listen to them and I am in a position to give you an informed answer. I can be contacted by e-mail or letter as follows:

slo@walsallfc.co.uk

SLO, Walsall Football Club, Banks’s Stadium, Bescot Crescent, Walsall, WS1 4SA.

There is some great work being done by the Supporters’ groups and it is a great shame to have some people undoing this with unwarranted remarks that do not help.

I believe the information and updates from the Board are better than ever. However, as I have said please contact me if you have any other questions.

I can assure you all our Supporters’ groups and individual supporters are listened to and I for one am grateful for your input.

You can of course raise questions via your Supporters’ groups if you wish. There are regular monthly meetings where issues are discussed.

As the song goes “We can build this thing together”, and I want to make sure this happens.

We need to get back to League One as soon as possible and we can all help to make this happen by uniting our support.

Graham Whittaker
