As supporters are aware, as we look to improve the facilities available in the lower tier of the Homeserve Stand, the Bescot Bar is currently undertaking a major renovation.
We kept the Bar open as long as possible during these works but, as the build gathers momentum, we have made the decision to close the Bescot Bar for the remainder of the season for safety reasons.
Having sought guidance from the Local Authority, Sports Ground Safety Authority and West Midlands Police, with their full consultation, we have also reluctantly taken the decision not to allow access from the lower tier up in to the Stadium Suite during the half-time interval.
This procedure will continue between now and the end of the season as works gather pace on the new Bescot Bar, which will be open in time for the new campaign.
Supporters from the Lower Tier will be permitted into the Stadium Suite both before and after matches, there are concerns over ingress and egress during the pinch point of half-time. We apologise for any inconvenience. Kiosks and toilets in either corner of the lower tier will remain available throughout for supporters in this area.
We will also honour any supporter who pre-purchased a drink at half-time for the Port Vale fixture but was unable to claim this due to the above changes. Simply bring your receipt to the Stadium Suite bars pre or post match on Saturday and we will honour the purchase.
