Kinsella: "Confidence is key"

3 February 2020

Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella feels confidence is keen to getting back to winning ways.

The Saddlers have suffered three consecutive defeats with and will be looking to end that run when they take on Forest Green Rovers next weekend.

Kinsella is keen to move on quickly and has called for the Saddlers to play with out fear.

"We need to play with confidence, we can't play thinking about defeats,” he said.

"We need to go into the next game, forget about the games before, and play with confidence with nothing to fear.

"It doesn't matter where we play, home or away, we just need to be confident.

"Confidence is key.”

Walsall have shown what it takes to get out of a sticky patch before this season and the 23-year-old wants to draw on that experience to bounce back again.

"You have to learn, it's such a quick season,” he commented.

"We learnt from the tricky period where we lost six on the bounce and we need to take that into the next game and make sure we don't lose.

"Put the performance in and see what happens - you can't promise results but the performance needs to be there for 90 minutes.”

The Saddlers now turn their attention to this weekend’s trip to Forest Green Rovers.
