Walsall have been drawn alongside manager Darrell Clarke’s former club Bristol Rovers and Oxford United in the group stages of the EFL Trophy.
Clarke's side have been placed in Group D of the Southern Section and will be joined by one of eight possible invited clubs.
The draw will be concluded at 1.30pm on Tuesday 18th August live on TalkSport.
The invited clubs we could be drawn against are:
- Arsenal under-21s
- Brighton & Hove Albion under-21s
- Chelsea under-21s
- Fulham under-21s
- Norwich City under-21s
- Southampton under-21s
- West Bromwich Albion under-21s
- West Ham United under-21s
Details of dates and kick-off times are yet to be confirmed.
The Saddlers reached the Last 16 of the competition in 2019/20 after they were beaten by League One side Portsmouth 2-1 at the Banks’s Stadium.
