Sleeve sponsorship donated to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity

8 January 2019

Walsall Football Club are proud to announce that we donated our sleeve sponsorship to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity for our FA Cup third round fixture away to Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

Over the past 12 months, the club have worked closely with the charity who has responded to more than 50,000 missions, averaging 2,000 per year, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK.

Jo Bailey, the events and area fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity expressed how grateful the charity are for the support they have received from the club over the last 12 months following the decision to donate the sponsorship.

“Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is responsible for funding and operating the three air ambulances covering six Midlands counties, including the West Midlands,” said Bailey.

“What is not widely known is that we receive no Government or National Lottery funding, so it’s vitally important we raise awareness of the work we do, so we can continue to fund the service.

“Walsall Football Club have been a great partner and supporter of the charity in the last 12 months, and we’re extremely grateful to them for promoting the charity at their FA cup game against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.”

We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with Midlands Air Ambulance and we will be working with them again very soon at our Charity Football Match with Sellebrity Soccer and Events.
