Walsall Football Club can confirm that striker Mitch Candlin has returned to the club following his loan spell with Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
The 18-year-old made his Saddlers debut against Bradford City in April 2017, aged 16, and signed his first professional contract in August of that year.
Candlin moved to Ewood Park on August 31st of last year with a view to a permanent deal but Rovers have opted against taking up that option and he will now rejoin Dean Keates’ side and he is available for selection against Gillingham this coming weekend.
The young forward has made nine first-team appearance for the Saddlers to date and helped our Development Squad win the 2016/17 Walsall Senior Cup.
