Kieron Morris revealed ahead of today's clash with Blackpool that he is playing with plenty of confidence as the side look to make it six games unbeaten in League One.
The 24-year-old winger has found the back of the net in two of his last three games, starting the last four.
With plenty of encouragement being thrown his way, Morris is pleased to have taken his chance when fellow winger Zeli Ismail picked up an injury.
“I was really pleased with that strike against Wimbledon,” he said.
“I remember getting the ball in space and there weren’t really any options out on the right, so I just thought I would shoot and luckily it went in.
“A lot of people have said to me that I need to shoot more because the power I have in my strikes is good.
“I have been doing that a bit more in the last few games and it is now starting to pay off.
“There are a few wingers at the club so if one of us gets injured, you know you have then got the chance to get in and I took my chance.
“Zeli got injured so I knew there was going to be a chance for me and I feel like I went into the team and I took my chance.
“We are in-form at the moment. If one of us gets injured, we know whoever comes in that they are going to perform well.”
Not only has his own confidence grown, but Morris has noticed the entire squad are playing with an extra bounce following the fantastic start to the season.
“Everyone is playing with confidence at the moment since pre-season where we got a few results and we have taken it into the season.
“I am happy at the moment, I am playing well, I am confident and hopefully the goals will keep coming.
“Since we have won the first few games, everyone has just become more confident.
“We feel like every game we go into, we can win.”
