Saddlers boss Dean Keates has been nominated for the League One Manager of the Month award for August.
Under the 40-year-old’s guidance, the Saddlers amassed 13 points from a possible 15 in the opening month of the 2018/19 season.
Keates’ men registered a 2-1 opening-day win over Plymouth and a 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe before recording three successive victories, against Gillingham, AFC Wimbledon and Rochdale.
Peterborough’s Steve Evans, Portsmouth’s Kenny Jackett and Sunderland’s Jack Ross have also been shortlisted.
The winner will be announced this Friday, 7th September.
