Ahead of this weekend's League One clash with Luton, Joshua Bunting takes a look at a previous meeting between the sides, this one coming in March 2008...
Walsall picked up a 1-0 victory over Town thanks to a goal from Stefan Moore on his Saddlers debut.
Moore’s goal came in the early stages but the relegation-threatened Hatters didn’t allow their heads to drop, with Anthony Gerrard clearing a shot off the line from Keith Keane.
The visitors had a fantastic chance to double their lead on 23 minutes as Tommy Mooney crossed for Edrissa Sonko but he fired his effort wide of goal.
Clayton Ince in the Saddlers goal was then called into action as Paul Furlong saw his header tipped over the crossbar.
Sonko had another chance to double the Saddlers' lead as he was played in by Lee Holmes but he saw his effort well saved down low by Town keeper Matthew Spring.
In what was a tight game, Luton thought they had found a late equaliser when Calvin Andrew found the net but it was ruled out for offside.
Walsall team: Ince, Betsy, Boertien, Roper, Weston, Mooney, Holmes, Moore, Gerrard, Wrack, Sonko.
