Saddlers stars Joe Edwards and Joe Slinn joined Year 7 pupils at Staffordshire University Academy on Wednesday.
The players were introduced to the group to take part in a mock press conference at the high school in Hednesford.
They answered questions the children had prepared based on a match scenario they had been given before the players visited.
The group got this opportunity as part of an eight-week programme with Walsall FCCP, looking at the various jobs available in football.
Edwards and Slinn then held a Q&A session with the students and signed autographs for the class.
Paul Larvin, Education Manager at Walsall FCCP, said: “It was great for the players to be here and give the children a chance to test their interview skills.
“We have looked at journalism as one of our jobs in football so it was good to recreate a post-match press conference to show the children that side of things, and how tricky it can be to ask the right questions!”
