Walsall FC Community Programme are pleased to announce their brand new Post 16 Football and Education Programme.
Beginning in September 2019, the programme is aimed at 16-19 year-old boys and will feature the following:
PLAY
- Compete for Walsall FCCP in the EFL Community Education Foastroturf
- otball Alliance (CEFA)
- Compete in games against teams from other professional clubs
- Play home games at the Banks’s Stadium on the club’s 4G AstroTurf
TRAIN
- Train twice a week with UEFA B Coaches
- Access to all college gym facilities
- Training is based at the Banks’s Stadium on the club's 4G AstroTurf
- Follow a training programme that mirrors Walsall FC's coaching philosophy
STUDY
- Gain a BTEC in Sport Level 3 (Extended diploma) or YMCA Level 2 or Level 3 in coaching
- Courses will be delivered by our education partners Walsall College, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted
Potential post course opportunities such as:
- Foundation Degree in coaching
- Scholarship to the USA
- Walsall FCCP apprenticeship and full-time employment
PROGRESS
Opportunities available include:
- Gaining FA Level 1 or 2 coaching qualification
- Coaching hours and experience in the community
- Observing and shadowing development and academy sessions
Limited places are available and interest from Year 11 students is already gathering pace.
