Walsall FC are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Phillip Aston, aged 94.
Phillip (pictured above in the beige coat) made ten appearances for the Saddlers during the 1951/52 season and also played for Wolves, Leicester, Luton, Tottenham, Burton and Gresley.
A gentleman, he fought for his country in World War II and also played cricket for England and worked as a coach at Measham.
The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Phillip's family and friends at this sad time.
