EFL Kids Cup Final

2 February 2018

Four schools will compete tomorrow in Walsall FC’s EFL Kids Cup finals.

The competition for Year 5 and 6 pupils, run by Walsall FC Community Programme, saw 35 schools enter the four rounds in November and December last year.

Ryders Hayes, Leighswood, Whetstone Field and Holy Trinity won each competition, and the quartet will face each other on Saturday to determine an overall winner.

The winning school will then go on to represent Walsall FC at the League One South Finals in Oxford.

Victors of that will have the opportunity to face the North champions at Wembley Stadium, on the day of the League One Play-Off Final.

Paul Larvin, Community Manager for Education, said: “It’s been brilliant to have so many Walsall schools involved in the Kids Cup this year.

All of the competitions were played in the right spirit and we have found four worthy finalists, who we wish the best of luck.”
