Goals from Reece Flanagan, Maz Kouhyar and Milan Butterfield sent Walsall through to the second round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.
The Saddlers ran out 3-2 winners over Lye Town on Tuesday evening, coming back from a goal behind after conceding to an early strike from Connor Collins.
Collins' 32nd-minute free kick broke the deadlock, before a powerful shot from Flanagan found the roof of the net, with Kouhyar's precise strike finding the bottom-right corner of the goal before half-time.
It was 3-1 soon in the second half as Butterfield finished a superb flowing move, playing a neat one-two before taking the return into the box and finishing well past Lye's keeper.
Jack Till pulled one back late on but The Saddlers advanced to the second round.
