Erhun Oztumer has been nominated for Sky Bet League One Player of the Month for October.
The Saddlers’ top scorer is up for the award after scoring three superb goals over the 10th month.
Oztumer netted a fine free-kick in our 1-1 draw against Blackpool on October 14th before hitting a brace in the 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers the following week.
Sky Bet said that October was “another month of highlights from the Turkish Messi whose superb free-kick against Blackpool was matched by the close control and calmness of his two finishes at Doncaster, accounting for half of his side’s six goals in October.”
The 26-year-old is up for the award alongside Ben Amos (Charlton Athletic), Graham Carey (Plymouth Argyle) and Bradley Dack (Blackburn Rovers).
The winner will be announced on Friday, November 10th. Oztumer was also nominated for the same award in October 2016.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
