Wembley Stadium lit up in Walsall colours to celebrate 10th Anniversary

19 May 2017

Wembley Stadium has been lit up in the colours of Walsall Football Club as the national stadium celebrates its 10th anniversary.

As part of the celebrations to mark a full decade since the home of the England national team reopened, the famous Wembley arch has been lit in the colours of all the clubs to grace the stadium since, with club crests displayed on screens outside.

And that includes our club crest, with Wembley’s arch this week illuminated in red and black to mark our appearance at Wembley in that time.

The Saddlers visited Wembley in March 2015 in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, where we lost 2-0 to Bristol City.

In total, 166 domestic, European and international men’s and women’s football teams have graced the Wembley turf in the last decade across a variety of competitions and friendlies.
