Bethany Miron's match report...
"It was a disappointing way to end the season", declared Jon Whitney after Walsall's 4-1 defeat to MK Dons on Sunday afternoon.
With quite a slow start to the first half of the game, MK Dons number 16 scored the first goal for the team at the eleventh minute. Following this, MK Dons scored a following goal by number 10. This left Walsall fans rather worried, leaving the first half 2-0 to MK Dons giving them a two goal advantage going into the second half of the game.
Entering the second half, Walsall made two substitutions and MK Dons made a following two during the match. Adding to their success in the first half of the match, MK Dons managed to score yet another goal from number 11, thus leaving the score at 3-0 for some time.
A glimmer of hope emerged for Walsall fans as a number 10, man of the match, Erhun Oztumer secured a goal for the team. However, this victory was short lived as just a minute later the MK Dons would regain their three goal lead, finalising the end result of 4-1.
Whitney also stated he will have to make some big decisions in the build-up to next season.
