Walsall Football Club have today been informed that goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has opted to sign a contract with Championship side Cardiff City, subject to paperwork and international clearance, when his current deal at the Banks’s Stadium expires on June 30.
The club had offered Etheridge a new three-year deal on improved terms, as confirmed in our retained list issued on May 4.
Etheridge made 94 appearances for The Saddlers after signing for the club in 2015. Walsall Football Club would like to thank Neil for his service over the last two years and wish him all the best in his future career.
There will be no further comment from the club at this stage.
